How it Works

  1. Create free researcher account
  2. Create a Public (unofficial) Title and summary for the public. Keep it short and exciting to create more interest.
  3. Submit your IRB-approved study
  4. Upon approval your study will become public
  5. Wait for the participants to come to you!

What is Ally Research?
Ally Research is a non-profit organization that connects veterans to cutting edge mental health studies. Our goal is to help researchers find participants faster and publish sooner, in order to advance our understanding of mental health.
Why should I post my study on AllyResearch.org?
At Ally Research we can connect you to a great community of military families and veterans. They are passionate about mental health and are very interested in finding studies that deal with many of the problems they are familiar with. By posting on our site you have instant access to that network.
How does it work?
It is free to register as a researcher. Simply submit a study and select the package that fits your needs best. We will then carefully review your study to make sure it’s a good fit for our mission (see “What types of research studies does Ally Research support?” below). We will contact you once it’s approved and will immediately be able to view on our site. If you subscribed to one of our other packages, your promotion will begin the first business day of the following month (ie. Subscribed October 10th, Promotion begins November 1st)
Which package is right for me?
We offer different packages because we know not all studies are the same.
Our Elite Package is good if you need:
  • Large Study Numbers
  • Faster Recruitment Rates
  • Very Specific Qualifying Criteria
Our Pro Package is good if you need:
  • Medium to Large Study Numbers
  • Faster Recruitment Rates
  • General to Specific Qualifying Criteria
Our Basic Package is good if you need:
  • Small Study Numbers
  • Improved Recruitment Rates
  • General Qualifying Criteria
Our Pilot package gives you the chance to try our website and see if Ally Research is a good fit for your study.

What is "Guaranteed Reach"?
For our subscription packages you are guaranteed a certain number of individuals will read about your study. If you’ve selected a basic, pro or elite package we show your study to potential participants within our network who best fit your study’s qualifying criteria.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept Credit Card/Debit card. Unfortunately we are not able to accept checks or purchase orders at this time.
How can I upgrade my study package?
To upgrade your study package, simply log in to your researcher account. Select to view and edit your study. At the bottom of the study page you can select the package you prefer.
What does a “Pending” study status mean?
A pending status that your study is still under review by our team. Please allow 3-5 business days for review. If you have additional questions you can contact our research coordinator, Ike Iyioke at [email protected]
Why does my study have to be reviewed by your team?
All studies are reviewed for content to ensure that the study is legitimate, fits within our mission and is not misleading to potential participants.
I purchased a package but I haven’t seen a post on Facebook yet.
Social Media posts are completed the month following payment. If you need to rush a post due to time constraints please contact Alicia Greenwalt at [email protected]
How else can I get people interested in my study?
There are a few tricks that help get people interested in your study.
  • Be creative with the Public Title. This is the title that users will be viewing on their search results. Use something that they can get excited about. The same goes for the short summary: Keep it Short, Sweet and Exciting.
  • Select as many eligibility options and applicable research topics as possible. When filling out the study form keep in mind to select ALL eligible criteria and all research topics that your study fits into. These will be used to filter searches.
  • Offer an Incentive. Like all research studies, recruiting participants can be hard without offering some sort of incentive. If you have one, put it on your page.
How can I edit my study?
Studies can be edited or updated by logging in to your researcher account. Select “View Trials” and select the edit option to the right of the study. It will open your study information and you may edit. Please note that updating your study requires a second review by Ally Research.
What if my study doesn’t have a set end date?
The End Date is just a requirement for our systems to keep old studies from collecting on our search engine. If you wish to continue your study, just edit it and select a later End Date, you will not be charged a second time for extending your study.
How can I remove a study from the search engine?
In order to remove a trial from the search engine (so participants can no longer view it) please set the “End Date” to a day that has passed. Once a trial reaches its end date it will be removed from the search engine list but remain on your dashboard.
